Honey Peach BBQ Pulled Pork (Printable)

Sweet peaches, honey, and BBQ sauce slow-cooked with pork for a summery, crowd-pleasing main dish.

# What You'll Need:

→ Pork

01 - 3 lb boneless pork shoulder, trimmed of excess fat

→ Seasoning

02 - 1 teaspoon salt
03 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
04 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

→ Sauce

07 - 1 cup BBQ sauce (ensure gluten-free if required)
08 - 1/2 cup honey
09 - 1/2 cup peach preserves or peach jam
10 - 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
11 - 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
12 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

→ Peaches

13 - 2 large ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced (or 1 1/2 cups frozen peach slices)

# How To Make It:

01 - Pat pork shoulder dry with paper towels. Evenly rub with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
02 - Place the seasoned pork shoulder in the crockpot.
03 - In a mixing bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, honey, peach preserves, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until blended.
04 - Pour the sauce mixture over the pork in the crockpot. Layer peach slices on top and around the pork.
05 - Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, until pork is very tender and pulls apart easily.
06 - Remove cooked pork from crockpot and shred using two forks.
07 - Skim excess fat from sauce if needed. Return shredded pork to crockpot, mixing thoroughly with sauce and peaches. Serve warm on buns, rice, or with preferred sides.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The slow-cooker does all the work, so you're free to enjoy the sunshine.
  • You'll taste summer in every bite, thanks to tender pork and juicy peaches.
02 -
  • If you skip trimming excess fat from the pork, the sauce turns greasy and the texture suffers.
  • Adding fresh peaches instead of frozen gives the pork a softer, juicier bite—and amps up the flavor.
03 -
  • Let the pork rest before shredding so the juices stay put and every strand stays moist.
  • Extra sauce is gold; drizzle it on every serving, even sandwiches, for maximum flavor impact.
